Commentaires sur "The Struggle Within"
La conclusion de l'album commence par une sorte de marche militaire pour terminer furieusement. Quant aux textes, ils sont biens obscurs... Mais on peut penser à un thème récurent dans la discographie de Metallica : un esprit tourmenté. James chante comme s'il s'adressait à un interlocuteur (c'est le cas à plusieurs reprises sur l'album) et dénonce son futile "conflit intérieur".
